Fall Photos!

The seasonal school photos .... here is Connor's little preschool class.

And here is Connor ... I trimmed out the part of his arm showing a tattoo. I wish his button had been fastened properly. Oh well.

Connor is starting to read - just a little. Easy sight words. But he seems to get it. Next week he's going to stay with his grandparents while mom and dad enjoy a little getaway.
Someday when I have time, I'll post pictures of his service as ringbearer in last month's exciting wedding. For now, I should probably go collect him from "school."

Good Morning!

Yesterday Connor awoke and announced from his bed, "I would like to go back to Japan."

This morning he found me in the kitchen, and his first question was, "Is [are] Winston and Liam friends?"

Winston and Liam are his first cousins once removed (I think that's right); they are cousins to each other. When I explained this, he then asked about Kimball (Winston's brother).

Interesting wake-up thoughts.

Funnies

This morning Connor woke up crying.
"What's wrong?" I asked him.
"My nose isn't working!" he whined. His nose was stuffy, stopped up.

Also, lately we've been reading Goodnight Moon, the classic children's book by Margaret Wise Brown. Connor has difficulty pronouncing with words containing double Ts, for some reason. I can't help laughing each time he says, "Good night kitt-nens; and good night mitt-nens."

He also says "cott-nen balls." And cott-nen balls ALWAYS make him think of marshmallows.

Happy Birthday, Poppa!

Connor and Riley

Trick or Treat!

On a mission:

In action:

Happy Halloween!

Reports of Connor via his blog have been few and far between....it's because he's been working undercover as the primary ninja of this region. He revealed his identity last night for Halloween ... and permitted himself to be photographed. Looking especially stealthy - he had just crawled out from a hiding place, as evidenced by the disarray of his hair -

Here he is at the start of the day, before school:

Children had the option to wear their costume. Below you can see Batman, a Power Ranger or two, a clown. One kid had a really cute turtle outfit (not pictured). Here the kids are gathering for morning circle time. I snapped a quick photo.
